Spaced Repetition App: Review Material Over Time

StudyBro combines spaced review, exam planning and active recall in its Apple app. Return to your notes over time, practise answering from memory, and use AI feedback to check your understanding. StudyBro AI is also available in a browser for explanations, summaries and quizzes.

How StudyBro schedules your reviews

  1. Add a note and an exam date. StudyBro uses the date to fit the schedule.
  2. Each note gets a ladder of 6 to 15 review dates. The gaps widen as you go, for example 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 14, 21 and 28 days.
  3. Review when a date comes round. Practise that note's flashcards, then wait for the next date.

Review scheduling and answer feedback serve different purposes: planned sessions help you revisit material, while feedback helps you decide what needs more practice.

What is spaced repetition in studying?

Spaced repetition is a review approach in which material is revisited across multiple sessions with time between them.

Why spaced practice can support long-term retention

Research on spacing and retrieval practice shows that distributing practice can support longer-term retention. The useful interval depends on the material, learner and desired retention.

How StudyBro uses spaced review

StudyBro uses spaced review as a learning principle rather than claiming that one universal interval works for every student or subject.
